Isn't this something we could do ourselves?

You have assembled a great team, you have built a great product; so yes you should be able to do this yourself. Although since you are here it seems you have concerns about your current performance.

1. Perhaps hosting is costing too much?

2. Are slow page loads causing you to lose customers?

3. Or it is just taking your development team longer and longer to deliver the features, you want to get to market?

When creating something new, teams often get caught up with what is urgent and needs to be done now. If it had not been done, then your business would not have been able to move forward. This can mean that important things, like quality and performance, come and sneak up on us from behind. The most important thing for a business is to be out and making revenue.  Which you have successfully achieved. The next two most important things are to grow and to increase profits.

Given our experience and the perspective, we are able to help you to increase your perfromance capability. The will allow you to get the biggest, immediate and ongoing, returns; leading to growth and better margins.

What does a 'healthy code base' mean?

We have found that a high performance code base is symptomatic of a successful company. Or conversely a poor performing system,is at risk of becoming overloaded and crash or whimper out of existence.

A healthy codebase is one which, the right amount of effort has been put into the overall design and maintenance; without putting too much effort and ‘gold plating’ unnecessarily.

As your company grows the design will need to change and be progressively maintained in the areas where there is weakness and frequent errors.

We aim to not only improve performance of your application, but to also up-skill your team so they can continue to easily and efficiently deliver value.

How do you keep our data secure?

Access to your code base is something we do not take lightly.

Our agreement includes Non-Disclosure provisions. We only access your code base from one of your company laptops, or if you provide online access, we only use storage media which is protected with hardware based encryption. After concluding our business with you we securely destroy any storage media we have used.

Is my site slow?

If your customers are complaining well you definitely have a problem. What about the customers who navigate to your site and leave before it even loads?

Did you know that 40% of new customers will leave a site if it takes more than 3 seconds to load?!

Google ranks slow websites lower in their results.

A quick and easy way to check the speed of you site:

  1. Visit PageSpeed Insights (Independent site run by google)
  2. Put in your websites address
  3. Click Analyse

You should get a page speed report.

A score of 90-100 is good. Anything below that needs work.

This speed check is quite simple and only testing page load and not interaction. If your site does need work, or if you are still unsure, then get in touch and find out how we can help.
